Photographs of various energy sources and solutions

Industrial energy consultancy

We offer energy consultancy on a range of industrial uses including compressed air, steam, refrigeration, lighting, CHP, power usage and employee practices.

Audits carried out using IS-393 methodology, cover overall system leak measurement, leak detection, analysis of equipment, maintenance and line maintenance specifications.

We also provide automated measurement and test of a range of energy parameters, including power measurement of specific machines, pressures and flows using ethernet and radio telemetry.

Other aspects of energy management that generally require exploration include pressure, flow, steam and refrigeration.

Technologies that will increase the energy efficiency at your Industrial site are listed below.

Biomass Systems

With our mild climate, Ireland has the best biomass growing climate in Europe. Wood offers a particularly attractive solutions to many energy demands. As a fuel wood comes in a variety of forms, such as logs pellets and chips. Wood can be transformed to energy by combustions, gasification of by turning it into a liquid fuel. It offers a variety of energy solutions of both the business and domestic sectors. BEO offers assistance to anyone interested in discovering the potential that wood energy offers.

Solar Energy

Solar panels can provide up to 60% of a domestic water supply for a domestic user. For commercial users, they can assist with reducing energy bills in the leisure, sport and hospitality sectors. They are particularly well suited to the tourism sector, where the biggest demand for hot water is also when this sector is busiest. Between March and October, solar panels can provide over 80% of domestic hot water demand. BEO is happy to look at your water heating expenses to explore the advantages of solar water heating.

Wind Energy

Ireland is the second windiest country in Europe, after Scotland. It is a resource that can be used to generate clean electricity for the Commercial and Industrial sectors. The first example of this in the Republic of Ireland is in Dundalk IT, where a grid-connected turbine provides electricity to the college, when the wind is blowing. The Ford factory in Dagenham, UK is the site of London’s first urban turbine. However, this is a resource that can be used to a greater degree in windy, rural regions. For this reason, they are particularly well suited to factories along the West coast of Ireland. With several years experience in the wind energy sector, BEO is interested in helping you to find a wind energy solution for your business.

Other RE technologies

Other Renewable energy technologies that BEO can assist you with, include Combined Heat and Power and AD (Anaerobic Digestion). CHP is an energy technology that has a wide variety of uses and energy sources. CHP can run off gas or wood fuel. The output of a CHP unit is electricity and heat. It provides around twice as much heat as electricity, so it is suited to sectors with a big heat load.

Anaerobic Digestion is the use of animal waste to create energy. Gas is collected from stored animal waste and can be used for heating and electricity generation. BEO works with leading experts in Ireland to provide these services to customers.
